    SCOTT SPREITZER
I'm playing the Under between the Mariners & Nationals on Tuesday night. Seattle has been winning games, but they aren't exactly scoring a lot of runs. The Mariners have scored a grand total of just 13 runs in their last six games, and they have scored 3 runs or less in 12 of their 18 games in June. Seattle will face Livan Hernandez in D.C. on Tuesday. Despite a bad outing on June 9, the righthander still owns a strong 3.21 ERA 1.13 WHIP in his last seven starts. In fact, take away the poor outing and he's allowed just 11 earned runs and 44 base runners in the other six starts, spanning 42 1/3 IP. Doug Fister is another righty throwing well on the season. Fister's only problem is not his own, but rather his teammates who can't seem to put the ball in play at the plate. The Mariners and their opponents have scored a combined 30 runs in Fister's last 6 starts, going 5-0-1 to the Under. Fister will face a Nats' team ranked 24th in OPS and 28th in team batting average despite their recent run. At the same time, Hernandez faces MLB's worst hitting team. Seattle ranks dead-last 30th in team batting average, 29th in OPS, and 28th in runs scored per game. Facing Hernandez and then MLB's 5th ranked bullpen will not help them. Meanwhile, Seattle's pen checks-in with a decent 3.58 ERA. The Mariners are 13-3-1 to the Under in their last 17 games against NL opposition. Meanwhile, the Nats are on a 32-14 run to the Under when Hernandez takes the bump, and they're 8-2 to the Under at home against AL opponents. I'm recommending a play on the Under on Tuesday. Thanks! GL! Scott.
