Event: (24349) Antonio Arroyo at (24350) Tom Breese
    Sport/League: MMA
    Date/Time: June 5, 2021 10PM EDT
    Play: Antonio Arroyo +205
In a Main Card bout on Saturday June 5th, Antonio Arroyo faces Tom Breese…
To start, this line feels off…
At no point should Tom Breese be a -240 favorite here going 2-3 in last 5 UFC appearances. Both guys have strong wide range of weapons offensively comfortable in the pocket exchanging. This line is victim to recency bias of Arroyo's last bout losing against Deron Winn. Early appeared as if Antonio could put Winn away, but unable to conserve energy costed him. Completely gassing out as Winn out paced the lackluster cardio of Arroyo. On Saturday night Arroyo shouldn't have to worry about defending level changes or a wrestling match. Both men will seek to stand, allowing each fighter working to their strengths. At range in space it's anyone's game as Breese is a kill or be killed kinda fighter. That willingness should put him in vulnerable positions toe to toe. Not saying Breese can't handle himself, but this wide line doesn't indicate how close this fight really is. The dog is live.
At +205 on Arroyo giving us implied probability of 32%, I'd cap his chances of winning higher. In a fight I don't see going the distance both men are live to land a KO shot, …feels more like a coin flip bout. Pure value is on Arroyo in this spot at over 2 to 1 dog money I'm comfortable having some exposure at solid plus odds in this fight.

    Play: Antonio Arroyo (+205)

Free play winner for Saturday night is Brooklyn in Game One of their semifinal series against Milwaukee to cover the small home impost.

This is the series we have been waiting for as it is #2 vs. #3 and this is the first time in 4 meetings that Brooklyn will have ALL 3 of their big guns - Durant, Harden and Irving - available for the contest/series and that is going to be enough, at least for tonight, to earn them the win and cover.

Milwaukee has been off since May 29th and could come out a little "rusty" with the extra few days in the clubhouse sipping on their Fresca.

One stat that is very telling is the fact the Bucks are a money-burning 0-4 when installed as an underdog for the season, while the Nets bring a money-making 14-2 spread mark when favored by -1 to -4 1/2 points for the season into this series opener.

Let's take those trends out for a spin tonight.

Nets to win and cover Game One!

      3* BROOKLYN

Here you have the 2 highest-scoring teams in the NBA playing their opening game of their scheduled best-of-seven series and I am looking at a massive total of 239 1/2 points as I type my analysis.

One would think when you have a Bucks team that pours in 120 points per game and allows 113.4 points per game and on the other side you have a Nets team that scores 118.9 points per game while allowing 113.9 points per game the Over is the play all night long, but I am going to play against that happening.

All it takes is one quarter where they don't hit the roughly 60 points per quarter needed to attain said Over and then you are playing catchup all evening long.

2 of the 3 season series meetings between the teams this year have played Under the total, including their 2 most recent meetings to start the month of May. In fact, the Over/Under has been a 4-4 split for the last 8 times the teams have met and for the Bucks the Over/Under also happens to be nothing pronounced at 4-4 for their last 8 games played this season.

Since Brooklyn is only a "modest" 5-4 Over the total for their last 9 games played since the regular season, there is just not enough evidence to me that this game is going to be a "sure fire" Over.

With the total definitely inflated a few baskets, play Game One of the Bucks-Nets Under the total on Saturday night.

        1* MILWAUKEE-BROOKLYN UNDER

My complimentary winner is the Pittsburgh Pirates over the Miami Marlins.

We have a decent pitching showdown in this one, by when you're talking about a pitcher still in search of a decision in June, and pitching on his own mound, there's motivation to take advantage of, especially as an underdog.

For Chase De Jong, he's without a decision because he has just one appearance this season. The right-hander appears to be an entirely different pitcher than what we saw in 2019, when he was released by the Minnesota Twins. De Jong was quite impressive on Sunday, dominating the Colorado Rockies by allowing just one run across five innings.

I'm aware Miami's Trevor Rogers is enjoying a breakout season, but he is 0-1 in his last two starts with a 3.27 ERA in those games. This will be his fifth road start in seven outings, and could be a tough one considering the Bucs won the first two in this series behind a surging offense.

The Pirates have won by a combined 14-5, and will be looking for a series win with another offensive burst today.

          Take the home underdog here.

          1* PIRATES

I've rode the Colorado Rockies the last two nights, and split them.

Tonight I'm giving them out as my complimentary winner, as they'll bounce back to defeat the Oakland Athletics.

We are a couple of months into the season, and Rockies lefty Kyle Freeland is in search of his first decision after missing the season's first seven weeks with a left shoulder strain. Freeland has made two encouraging road starts, lasting four innings in each, and throwing 74 and 84 pitches.

This is a good spot for him to extend his outing, and outpitch his counterpart.

Oakland hands the ball to Cole Irvin, who is a disappointing 3-7 this season, with a 4.12 ERA. Over his last three outings, Irvin has given up at least four earned runs in each start. Not good when you're in Denver trying to shake a pitching funk.

            Rockies are the play.

            5* ROCKIES

The Hurricanes finally broke through against Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy as they were able to put 3 past the miserly Tampa Bay goal-keeper in a game that STILL held Under the total.

So, 3 games in the books and 3 Unders also in the books in this series.

Look for another Under here on Saturday, as Carolina has now skated to Unders in 4 of their last 5 games this postseason, while Tampa Bay is on a 5 game Under since in the postseason.

Series numbers also dictate a play on the Under, as each of the last 5 this year have held Under and the Under is 8-1-1 the last 10 times this season the teams have faced one another.

Until either team's offense lights up the other's goalie, best to keep playing the Under when these division-rivals play one another.

Make it a 9-1-1 Under run their last 11 series meetings.

              4* CAROLINA-TAMPA BAY UNDER
