I'll take my chances with the Reds as a -135 home favorite against the Brewers on Saturday. Cincinnati snapped a 4-game losing streak with a 9-4 win over Milwaukee on Friday. It was the most runs the Reds have scored since putting up 14 at Pittsburgh way back on 5/10.
I like them to build off that strong offensive showing with the Brewers sending out a struggling Brett Anderson for the start. Anderson has a 9.00 ERA and 2.429 WHIP in his last 3 starts. He's also got a poor 5.40 ERA and 1.350 WHIP in 4 road starts.
Scoring doesn't figure to be as easy for Milwaukee, as the Reds will send out Sonny Gray. He's trending in the right direction with a 2.16 ERA and 1.200 WHIP over his last 3 starts. He's also pitched really well in day games. He's got a 2.08 ERA in 4 day starts with Cincinnati winning 3 of the 4. To top it off, Gray owns a 2.49 ERA and 1.204 WHIP in 9 career starts against the Brewers. Give me the Reds -135!
