        Dave's Wednesday Free Play:
        1* on Miami Marlins +119
The Key: I like the price we are getting on the Miami Marlins over the Philadelphia Phillies tonight due to their edge on the rubber. Trevor Rogers is one of the many underrated starters in the Marlins' rotation. Rogers is 5-2 with a 1.84 ERA and 1.07 WHIP this year with 57 strikeouts in 44 innings and only 2 HR allowed. Zach Efflin is 2-2 with a 3.86 ERA in 8 starts for the Phillies. Efflin sports a 4.50 ERA in 10 lifetime starts against the Marlins. He yielded 4 earned runs and 10 base runners in 4 innings in his last start against the Marlins. Take Miami.

          MLB | Rays vs Orioles
Play on: Orioles -109 at Draft Kings

#968 ASA FREE PLAY ON Baltimore -105 over Tampa Bay, Wednesday at 7:05 PM ET - The Rays have been on a mini roll winning 5 straight but that ends tonight. Tampa went with a bullpen game in last night’s win @ Baltimore and used 6 different relievers so their relief pitchers will be a bit thin tonight. Ryan Yarbrough gets the call to the mound for the Rays and he has started just once since April 13th. He struggled early in the season as a starter allowing at least 5 ER in 3 of his 4 starts so he was moved to the bullpen in mid April. In his 22.2 innings pitched as a starter Yarbrough has allowed 32 hits and 17 earned runs. We expect him to struggle tonight vs a Baltimore line up that has won 6 of their last 8 vs lefties while hitting .265 vs southpaws this season which ranks them 7th in MLB. While the O’s have had problems scoring runs at times this season, vs LH’s they are averaging over 5.0 RPG. Baltimore lefty John Means gives the O’s a nice edge on the mound tonight. He has started 8 games on the season and allowed 0 earned runs in half of those starts (4) and has not given up more than 3 ER’s in any start. Tampa hits just .216 this season vs lefties ranking them 27th in MLB and they are averaging just 3.7 RPG when facing southpaws. The Rays have struck out 172 times this season vs left handers which is by far the most in the Majors. That’s not a winning recipe vs Means who has a 4.1 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio. We like the Orioles to get the home win tonight.

            MLB | Marlins vs Phillies
Play on: Phillies -124 at pinnacle

The Phillies are off a comeback win last night. I expect them to carry the positive momentum into today's game. Eflin has a 2.08 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in four home starts. The Phillies are 3-1 in those games. Admittedly, Rogers has pitched well. That said, he can't be too excited about a visit to Philadelphia. His lone career start against the Phillies resulted in an 11-0 loss. On the other hand, the Phillies are 4-0 in Eflin's four home starts against Miami. The Phillies won by scores of 9-3, 5-1, 14-2 and 8-3. That's a total combined score of 34-9. I say they keep on rolling. Consider Philadelphia.

              MLB | Marlins vs Phillies
Play on: Phillies -124 at Draft Kings

My free play is on the Phi Phillies at 7:05 ET. The Philadelphia Phillies opened a three-game home series against the Miami Marlins by scoring SEVEN runs in the eighth inning to give them an 8-3 victory. The win upped Philadelphia's record to 22-20 and kept them one game back of the first-place Mets (20-16) in the NL East. The Marlins fell to 18-23 and are just a half-game better than the NL East's last-place team, Washington (16-22). The series continues Wednesday night with Trevor Rogers (5-2, 1.84 ERA) getting the ball for Miami and Zach Eflin (2-2, 3.86 ERA) for Philadelphia. Rogers made his MLB debut in 2020, making seven starts. He posted a 1-2 record (Marlins were 3-4 in his starts) with a 6.11 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and a BAA of .283. He's still considered a rookie in 2021 and so far, what a difference a year makes! He's 5-2 in eight starts (team is 5-3) with that spectacular 1.84 ERA, a WHIP that's down to 1.07 and opponents have hit only .197 against him. What a turnaround! Zach Eflin is in his sixth MLB season (all with the Phillies) and his 2-2 record with a 3.86 ERA and 1.17 WHIP is better than his career record (31-35 / 4.56 ERA / 1.32 WHIP). Looking closer at Eflin's starts in 2021 we find this. He's struggled in four away starts (1-2 with a 5.68 ERA / team is 1-3) but here at home he's 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA in four starts (Phils are 3-1). That fits nicely with Philadelphia's 14-6 home record. The NL East title is "up for grabs" in 2021 and the Phillies HAVE to be "chomping at the bit" to end their NINE-year postseason drought. Meanwhile, Miami went from a 105-loss season in 2019 to a wild card berth in last year's pandemic-shortened one. Miami's postseason appearance in 2020 was its first since the 2003 season. The season hasn't even reached Memorial Day yet but winning a home series over teams like Miami will be a MUST if the Phillies want to win the NL East. The Phillies are 14-6 at home plus Eflin puts his 2.08 home ERA on the line against a Miami team averaging only 3.9 RPG in 24 road games this season. Good luck...Larry

1 Unit FREE PLAY on Tampa Bay Rays +106
The Tampa Bay Rays are playing too well right now to be underdogs to the lowly Baltimore Orioles. The Rays are 5-0 in their last five games overall and averaging 8.8 runs per game. The Orioles are just 2-8 in their last 10 games overall. Ryan Yarbrough has a 3.64 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in his three previous starts against the Orioles. The Rays are 7-1 in the last eight meetings. Give me the Rays.

Wednesday's Free NBA Pick is on the Memphis Grizzlies as a 4-point home favorite against the Spurs. We saw both home teams dominate in Tuesday's Eastern Conference play-in games. Expect more of the same tonight, especially with Memphis. Props to Popvich and his staff for getting this Spurs team to the postseason, but talent wins over in the playoffs and the Grizzlies are easily the more talented team. Bet Memphis -4!

The Blue Jays (-112) are worth a look as a slim home favorite against the Red Sox in Wednesday's MLB action. Just feels like Boston is getting a little too much respect on the road against a top tier team like Toronto. Blue Jays won the series opener 8-0 on Tuesday as a mere -125 favorite. Toronto has won 3 straight and 6 of 7 overall. Blue Jays also improved to 10-5 at home this year. Play Toronto -112!

                        MLB | Pirates vs Cardinals
Play on: Cardinals -208 at pinnacle

Wednesday MLB Free play. My selection is on St. Louis over Pittsburgh at 7:45 pm et on Wednesday.
The Cardinals took the opener of this series with relative ease last night and I expect a similar story to unfold on Wednesday. Trevor Cahill will take the ball for the visiting Pirates. He's nearing the end of his useful days as an MLB starter. Cahill checks in sporting a 7.58 ERA and 1.63 WHIP in four road starts this season and has already been lit up by the Cardinals once, allowing five earned runs in just 5 1/3 innings in a 12-5 loss back on May 1st. While Cahill did give up just one earned run in his most recent outing, he lasted only 5 1/3 innings and managed to post just one strikeout. In fact, Cahill has only three strikeouts in his last two starts combined, spanning 10 1/3 innings of work. Jack Flaherty, meanwhile, has been the Cardinals ace and is an early National League Cy Young Award contender. He's been lights out here at home, posting a 0.95 ERA to go along with a ridiculous 0.53 WHIP. The Cards are a perfect 8-0 when he takes the ball this season, including a 3-0 mark here at home where they've outscored opponents by a 24-5 margin. Take St. Louis (8*).

Soccer | Independiente Santa Fe vs River Plate
                          Play on: OVER 3½ -120

                          Event: Copa Libertadores
                          Pick: Over 3.5 Goals
River Plate are missing +20 players due to covid protocol, including all four goalkeepers.
There's no room in the calendar to reschedule this game so it has to be played.
River Plate are forced to play an unfit outfield player in goal, they were not allowed to call up an academy goalkeeper.
With so many outfield players missing and no goalkeepers the over is the sensible play here, Santa Fe -1 Handicap is also worth taking.

Jack's Free Pick Wednesday: Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 (-106)
The Milwaukee Brewers will be motivated for a win tonight after losing four of their last five games overall, including Game 1 of this series to the Royals. But the Brewers just got their best player back from the IL in Christian Yelich, and they have their ace on the mound tonight.
Nobody has been more impressive than Milwaukee's Corbin Burnes thus far. He has posted a 1.57 ERA and 0.641 WHIP in six starts this season with 58 K's in 34 1/3 innings. He has pitched 12 shutout innings in his two road starts this season as well.
He'll be opposed by Brad Keller, who is 3-4 with a 6.75 ERA and 1.860 WHIP in eight starts this season. He has been at his worst at home, going 1-2 with a 9.20 ERA and 1.909 WHIP in four starts at Kauffman Stadium.
Milwaukee is 15-4 in its last 19 games after a game where it had four or fewer hits, coming back to win by 2.7 runs per game in this spot. The Royals are 0-5 in their last five games following a win. Kansas City is 2-11 in its last 13 games vs. a right-handed starter. Bet the Brewers on the Run Line Wednesday.
