Free NBA Pick for Friday from Doc’s Sports. #537 Take Oklahoma City over Detroit (7 p.m. EST, Fri April 15) We were originally eyeing the Pistons here until we heard they are resting three healthy players for this matchup Friday as it’s the first leg of a back-to-back and they have a much tougher matchup at Washington on Saturday. If that’s not blatant tanking, we don’t know what is. Detroit had been playing with a lot of energy lately, but if management doesn’t want to win this one then why would the players give full effort against OKC? The Thunder have looked bad lately. But this is a winnable game for them. They played a spirited game a couple games ago against Utah and easily covered the number. This is probably their best chance to snap a long losing streak. They have much tougher matchups upcoming. The Thunder are one of the worst teams in the NBA and dealing with injuries at the moment, but we’re not sure if the Pistons should be laying this many points against anyone. This is the most points they have given out this season. With players out for both teams we will take the points here in what will be a glorified game of street ball.
