We believe Newcastle can keep things tight at home here on Saturday against a struggling Wolves team.
Wolves enter this game coming off two straight wins, but their underlying numbers in those games were poor. Leeds had a 2.48 to 0.59 xg advantage over Wolves last time out, only to come unstuck through an own goal, while they needed a penalty to overcome a Southampton side in the game prior who are the league's poorest performing side over the 2021 calendar year.
This is an extremely important game for Newcastle as they look to avoid slipping into the relegation bottom three so expect Steve Bruce's men to be extra focused for the late game here on Saturday.
Take Newcastle plus the half goal at home this weekend.

This is a situation where one fighter has better gound game, but struggles getting it there. Thiago Moises has strong grappling yet his inability getting opponents down hurts his overall skill set. Many times early on Moises will allow his opponents to dictate the pace of the fight. In his most recent bout against Bobby Green, Thiago looked flat and couldn't gain control of positioning while Bobby continued to outland him. Somehow Green lost that fight, but it was an unimpressive win for Moises. While Alexander Hernandez has solid footwork, strong in the clinch with rangy combination is the perfect mix to win. When fighting smart Heranadez has all the tools to move up the division rankings. Two fights ago losing to Drew Dober seemed like a winnable fight, yet Dober has truly shown he's a rising talent. Most recently Hernandez was victorious against Chris Gruetzemacher where he won via TKO in round 1.
There's a lot to like about Hernandez in this spot. I believe most of this fight will be on the feet and thats not where Thiago wants to be. His limited striking skillset will allow openings for Hernandez to pile up damage. If he doesn't get the finish he will out point Moises and win via decision.

BLACK JACK TARA - Is worth serious consideration and may be a bet - strong Equibase Speed Figures (53 average) at today's distance and surface lately. Really don't expect a reversal of fortune today. This questionable contender ran a mediocre speed figure in the last race. He shouldn't run better and will likely suffer defeat in today's event running that fig.

BOURBONWITHATWIST - Good return on investment for this rider and handler pair. Sneaky speed on this one. He'll probably be stalking ponies on the back side, then bury them down the stretch. The 77 last race rating looks good on paper. CASHLINGS - I figure that this shorter trip should help this gelding. This equine wins a lot of money per start. At the top in this race. RIP WHEELER - A thoroughbred coming back this rapidly after a strong effort is a good signal. When Ayuso and Ledezma join forces on animals the return on investment has been terrific at +55. Have to like the way Ledezma has raced this colt back into shape off the layoff. Animal is well spotted in this sprint and I think he'll run well today. PHANTOM DROP - Have to give this gelding a good shot. Ran a sharp contest last time around the track within the last month or so.

COPPER HALO - Not likely that this animal will finish better than he did last time out of the box when placing third. BOBBY'S ALIBI - The Brain always warns me to stay away from ponies in sprint events that haven't hit the board in sprint races lately. Not likely that the speed figure he garnered on January 29th will be enough in this race.

HOUDINI'S AWESOME - Look for a very good pace improvement from this pony who enters with second time Lasix today. With Velazquez getting the mount, watch out for this racer.
