No way Butler should be favored. The Johnnies have covered in eight straight outings, winning all but one outright. They blasted Butler by a dozen points one month ago. The Bulldogs needed a game against Big East bottom-feeder DePaul over the weekend to bury a three-game straight-up losing streak. The analyst Pomeroy ranks St. John’s 31 slots higher than the Bulldogs.

ANALYSIS: Derrick Rose will make his Knicks debut (off the bench) as he reunites with Tom Thibodeau. Rose clearly isn't what he used to be but still will help New York, and just the fact management traded for help should fire up the Knicks players from the get-go. Knicks players aren't used to having capable management. Miami has covered just one of its past nine at home and still can't get the whole band together due to COVID/injury. Out tonight are Goran Dragic, Avery Bradley, Moe Harkless, Meyers Leonard and Chris Silva.

ANALYSIS: This moneyline has come down from a high of -245, so we'll take it as it probably won't get any lower. Vegas is 2-0 at home vs. Anaheim this season and will start Marc-Andre Fleury in net. He lost the No. 1 job last year to Robin Lehner after Lehner was acquired in trade, but Fleury has been terrific so far with a 4-0-0 record and microscopic 1.25 GAA. It's tempting to go with the puckline because the Ducks can't score, but their netminder, John Gibson, is also very good so this may well end via a one-goal Knights victory. Anaheim is just 2-12 in the past 14 meetings.

ANALYSIS: This spread is on the precipice of where I don't think it's great value, but now that Herb Jones (11.9 ppg, 6.0 rpg) will play for the No. 11 Tide, and he was in question, they should be able to win by at least seven. Bama has lost two of three but both were close at ranked Oklahoma and Missouri. The SEC regular-season title is no longer a sure thing, so Nate Oats' bunch should wake up here. Alabama has won five straight in this series by an average of eight points, so that would be just fine by me. The Gamecocks are 1-5 ATS in their last six games as home underdogs.
