        OVER 8
        CHI. CUBS @ CLEVELAND | 8/11 | 7:10 PM EDT
        YESTERDAY 7:03 PM
My model says the Over hits in well over 50 percent of the simulations. The Cubs totaled 11 runs over two games before suffering a 13-2 loss on Sunday. The Indians have scored a total 25 runs over their last four contests, even though one was a shutout loss. Chicago's Jon Lester and Cleveland's Mike Clevinger combined to allow one run over 11 2/3 innings in their last outings. Don't expect the same in this matchup.

        CHICAGO @ VEGAS | 8/11 | 10:30 PM EDT
        YESTERDAY 6:46 PM
My model says the Under hits in more than 60 percent of the simulations, so you're getting good value here. The Blackhawks averaged four goals during their Stanley Cup Qualifier series against Edmonton while the Golden Knights averaged five during the round-robin. However, goals become much more difficult by which to come as the playoffs go on. Vegas G Marc-Andre Fleury is tied for fourth on the all-time list with 15 career postseason shutouts. Take the Under.

          SAN DIEGO @ L.A. DODGERS | 8/11 | 9:40 PM EDT
          9:01 AM
The Dodgers are 0-7 OU at home when seeking immediate revenge for a one-run loss at home, staying Under by an average of 4.43 runs. The Padres are 0-9 OU (-3.17 rpg) in the second game of a series as a road underdog coming off a game as an underdog in which they scored in, at most, two separate innings. San Diego scored one run in each of its last two games in this spot. We are on the Under.

          ATLANTA @ N.Y. YANKEES | 8/11 | 7:05 PM EDT
          8:59 AM
The Yankees are 17-0 SU as favorites of more than 135 when coming off a game as underdogs in which they did not hit a home run. In their last six games in this spot, the Yankees have scored 13, 7, 11, 7, 14 and 8 runs respectively. The Yankees have lost two straight and the Braves have laid down as an underdog vs. a team on a losing streak. Atlanta is 0-9 SU as a 130-plus road dog against teams that have lost two straight, losing by an average of 5.11 runs, with every loss coming by multiple runs. Note that the Braves have allowed an average of 8.33 runs in these nine games. We are on the Yankees and we also recommend a play on their team total Over as well.

The Marlins are 0-13 as a road underdog coming off a road game in which they struck out more than 10 times, losing by an average of 4.15 runs per game. The Blue Jays are a reliable 8-0 as a 130-plus favorite coming off a game as a road underdog in which they had more strikeouts than hits. We are on the Blue Jays.

          KANSAS CITY @ CINCINNATI | 8/11 | 6:40 PM EDT
          8:52 AM
The Royals are “red hot” but the Reds are 15-0 as a 140-plus home favorite before game 120 when they are facing a team that won at least their last two games. Kansas City is 0-8 SU as a road underdog after a game in which it scored first. The Royals are also 0-9 SU in the first game of a road series with rest off a home series when their opponent’s starter has a strike-per-ball ratio less than 1.6 on the season. We are on the Reds.

          CHI. WHITE SOX @ DETROIT | 8/11 | 7:10 PM EDT
          8:50 AM
Detroit took the series opener 5-1, but the Tigers are 0-12 SU at home after a game as a home underdog in which they scored in more innings than their opponent. Also, Detroit is 0-9 SU after a win as a home underdog in which it never trailed. In these nine games, the Tigers have scored: 0, 2, 0, 1, 2, 2, 0, 2, and 2 runs respectively. Wow. We are on the White Sox.

          SAN DIEGO @ L.A. DODGERS | 8/11 | 9:40 PM EDT
          8:48 AM
San Diego is 0-16 as a 110-plus underdog when it is not a series opener and it is coming off a game in which it used five-plus pitchers. The Padres have lost these 16 games by an average final score of 2.38 runs to 7.06 runs. Brutal. The Dodgers are 11-0 as favorites of more than 120 when they are seeking immediate revenge for a home loss in which they held the lead and it is before the 120th game of the season. LA has won these eleven games by an average of 3.91 runs per game. We are laying the price.

                COLUMBUS @ TAMPA BAY | 8/11 | 3:00 PM EDT
The Blue Jackets are coming off the high of a big Game 5 Qualifier series win over Toronto and are more adjusted to the intensity of playoff hockey right now. While I think the Lightning have the better team in this series, they're running into a white-hot goaltender in Joonas Korpisalo and are banged up already as Steven Stamkos and D Victor Hedman both may miss Game 1. I'm leaning Tampa Bay in the series, but I think there's a good chance Columbus comes out of the gate stronger and punches the Lightning in the mouth in the opener.

                  Rob V: Comp Play

Tuesday we have our 2020 NBA Total of the year headlining and a perfect system MLB play. NHL Playoff comp play below.

The NHL Power System Play is on Tampa Bay at 3:00 eastern. The Lightning are licking their lips here. They have #1 seed playoff loss revenge from last season on Columbus. Tampa is the fresher team. Columbus had to go 5 games and come up with a big dog win over Toronto to get here and they will feel the effects of that today. Tampa won at Columbus earlier in the season but I expect we will see a very focused team that will not take Columbus lightly. Take Tampa. RV- GC Sports

6 Unit Play. Take #753 Portland -4.5 over Dallas (6:35p.m., Tuesday August 11)
The Portland Trailblazers come into this bubble game winners of 3 out 4 and tonight the Blazers could be facing a short-handed Mavs team. The Mavericks could be without Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis and if these two don't play this betting line will rocket upwards. Portland sits in the 9th spot in the West with the Suns and Spurs looking to jump over them. Give me the Blazers tonight and I see another big game from the Blazers backcourt. The Blazers are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games and again if no Luka the Blazers win big.

The Canes are playing well right now having won three of four from the Florida Panthers. They will face much stiffer defense than they did against the Panthers but they are a hard working team. The Bruins first line of Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, and Brad Marchand has yet to score a goal since the restart. This game should be much closer to 50-50, take the value in the Canes.

The Blue Jackets are coming off a Game 5 win against the Maple Leafs and how could we forget their sweep of the Lightning last season in the first round. However, it will be interesting to see how these teams come out considering the Blue Jackets have played a playoff series already. The Blue Jackets have the goaltending to win this series again, and they showed last season they should have better odds. Take the value in the CBJs.

My model says Milwaukee covers the spread in almost 60 percent of the simulations. The Bucks have lost four of their last five games, but they had nothing for which to play in most of them as they already had clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee rested some players and limited the playing time of others as it prepares for the postseason. But the team still should be able to easily handle Washington, which has lost all six of its games since the restart - five by at least nine points.

                            Chicago/Vegas over 6.5

The first game between these clubs and we expect a wide-open affair even though that is not the normal for the NHL Playoffs. The Blackhawks showed in the last series that they would be able to score and keep in mind the goaltender that will be getting the start Robin Lehner used to play with Chicago this season. We know guys like Kane and Toews know his weak spots and how to beat him, along with the rest of the team coaches etc. They will be ready for Lehner. If Fluery actually gets the start that is even better for the OVER. (at the time of this writing the goaltender was not confirmed) We believe the only way Chicago can win this series is to play this type of all out hockey. One big problem for the Blackhawks is the Golden Knights can play that type of hockey as well and probably better than the Hawks. We would not be surprised to see Vegas put up a 5 spot themselves tonight. We are getting 6 ½ here at the time of this writing and we believe at some point of this series you will see 7’s, maybe even as early as game time in tonight’s game. We are also backed by some SOLID trends, what we like to call winning advantages as the Over is 7-1 in Blackhawks last 8 vs.the Pacific and the Over is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings between the clubs. The Blackhawks only played one under in their series against Edmonton and Vegas went OVER in all 3 round robin games. Lots of goals tonight as this game goes OVER the total by early in the 3rd. So lets get the job done with the Chicago/Vegas game OVER 6 ½.

                              Canadiens-Flyers under 5.5 (-130)

                              Play the UNDER 5.5 here.

The Philadelphia Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens will go Head-to-head in the opening round of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs after the Canadiens managed to pull a massive upset over the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Flyers were able to go undefeated in their round robin to capture the #1 seed heading into the playoffs. If you ask anyone what got the Canadiens this far they would most certainly tell you Carey Price is the reason, and the fact is, I wouldn’t really be able to argue with that. One thing however about this Montreal Canadiens team that needs to be mentioned is that they played smart team hockey in each and every one of their games vs the Penguins; they may not light up the score sheet every single night but they played defensive hockey and did a great job of keeping the puck away from the front of their net and shut down top players on the Penguins, something I expect to happen once again when the Canadiens and Flyers meet. When goaltender Carey Price is locked in, he is the clear #1 goaltender in the world and he sure looked like that vs the Penguins. Anything that Price could see, he was stopping. With the Montreal Canadiens playing against the #1 seed in the eastern conference, I expect that defensive mentality to only get stronger, the Candiens will be a team to bet unders on all throughout the playoffs and all through this series. Although the Canadiens were able to get some scoring production, they still lack that All-star forward that many teams have and because they lack that they’ll have to be very strong defensively everywhere they are on the ice. As far as the Flyers go, I believe they will continue with the unders right where they left off in their seeding round robin. The Flyers went Under the total in all of their seeding games and a lot of that is credited to their great goaltending as well just like the Habs. Carter Hart is an outstanding young goaltender that has shown brilliance on many big stages including the national level so I see no signs of nerves coming from him on this big stage. Carter Hart is a backbone for the Flyers along with their large defensive core that will make things very difficult for Montreal to get behind them and find scoring opportunity. I predict the Flyers to need some time to settle into the playoff mindset and I expect the Montreal Canadiens to pick up right where they left off with the Penguins and play low scoring defensive hockey. I don’t see many goals coming in game 1.
