OFFICER GRIGGS - This gelding is rounding his way back into shape. Should perform well today. It looks like Eramia had to know this gelding on April 20th when riding him for the first time. Back on again today. Lets try to beat the probable favorites with this gelding. Just missed last out, but ran a respectable race. DETROIT COWBOY - Have to make this gelding a serious competitor; he comes off a good effort on Apr 20th. This gelding garnered a nice speed rating of 76 in his last race. That speed rating should be good enough to triumph in today's event. Carrying 5 pounds less this race. Trainer has him in a good spot. DIXIE LOVER - Mare's last race was against tougher open company. She's in with easier 'state breds' today. I like to play this handicapping angle, a thoroughbred coming back off a nice race within the last month. Utilizing this jock/trainer combination is a smart move. This mare's last race was better than looked. She showed good zip, dropped back a bit but held even through to the finish.

DADDY'S GONE - I cannot play this continual non-winner. Gets the assignment completed once in a while. Notched a most unsatisfactory speed rating last out in an Allowance race on April 5th. Not probable to see an improved performance off of that number. MOSTLY SUNNY - You think this equine is going to be victorious just because he's always close. Just doesn't win often. Don't think this questionable contender will make a winning move in today's race. That last rating was most unsatisfactory when compared with today's class figure. OH SO TALL - He's most likely going to get baked on the front end. Will be tough for this horse to beat this bunch off of that last speed figure. Unlikely to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's Equibase class figure, so put him on the questionable contenders list.
