I think a lot of people will have a hard time trusting TCU here on the road against the Cowboys. The Horned Frogs are just 2-5 in their last 7, fresh off a loss at Vandy and are without one of their better players in Jaylen Fisher. What gets overlooked is just how close this TCU team is to being 7-0 instead of 2-5 in their last 7. All 5 losses have come by 5 or fewer points. They still have two of the best players in the Big 12 in Vlad Brodziansky and Kenrich Williams and simply put are in desperation mode, where every win is critical for their resume.
The other big key here is that Oklahoma State isn't whole right now. The Cowboys just recently lost second-leading scorer Tavarius Shine (out indefinitely), who averages 11.4 ppg. They also could be without third-leading scorer Kendal Smith (10.8 ppg), who is questionable with the flu and figures to be less than 100% even if he does play. The only other OK State player averaging more than 8.6 ppg is their star Jeffrey Carroll. I just think too much will be asked of Carroll here and the Horned Frogs find away to get that big road win. Take TCU!

Cavs have played much better on the road this seasaon, and they had little problem with the Pistons at home earlier this week. Detroit is short handed after the Clippers trade yesterday. Cleveland should have a huge edge in bench play.

We had this game circled just before the break as we played against the Jets in their last game which resulted in a 4-3 shootout loss against Anaheim. That ended a three-game winning streak while putting the close on a run of having played six of their last seven games on the road. The Jets are still leading the Central Division although it is now down to a point over Nashville but there could be some big separation from now until February 20 as Winnipeg begins a 10-game homestand. The Predators have three games in hand so a big homestand is necessary and getting off to a good start is important. The Jets are 17-3-1 at home and going back to last season, they have lost just four times in their last 27 home games. Steve Mason gets the start in goal and while he has been inconsistent, his last eight games have all been on the road. It will not be easy against Tampa Bay which leads the Eastern Conference with 71 points, but the line is being kept in check because of that. The Lightning have won three straight road games, but they are just 4-3 in their last seven road games Going back, the Lightning are 32-67 in their last 99 road games against teams with a home winning percentage of greater than .600. They are also just 4-6 SU in their last 10 games. They recently called a players’ only meeting that clearly did not work, and if anything backfired. And now their best player in John Wall is doubtful to play tonight with a knee injury. Washington is 0-7 ATS in home games revenging a loss where opponent scored 1010 points or more this season. I'm recommending a play on Xavier minus the points on Tuesday. Lack of depth, injuries and poor shooting all came together on Saturday as St. John's lost 70-45 at Butler for the Red Storm's 10th loss in a row (we had Butler on these pages). It's a bad sign when your leading scorer goes 0-for-12 from the floor as Shamorie Ponds did against the Bulldogs. St. John's is 2-5 ATS its last seven games and is shooting 41.9 percent this season compared to 50.0 percent for Xavier, which averages 84.7 points per game and has had six days off since its 89-70 rout of Marquette. Xavier has won four straight, including a 73-64 road win against Seton Hall. The Musketeers are 22-8 ATS their last 30 games and 11-4 ATS their last 15 road contests. They're led by the trio of Trevon Bluiett (18.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game), J.P. Macura (13.0 ppg) and Kerem Kanter (10.0 ppg). St. John's is 1-5 ATS its last six home games. The All Star Break probably came at a better time for the Devils than it did for the Sabres. While New Jersey was on a losing streak before the break, the Sabres entered the break on a rare 3-game winning streak. When rolling like that, a team would typically like to keep playing. A closer look at those Buffalo victories reveals that they came on the road, against Western Conference teams. Playing at home hasn't exactly been helpful for the Sabres; they're 6-14 here. Both this season's meetings between these teams were taken by the visiting team. The Sabres won 4-3 at NJ. However, the Devils won 6-2 here, at Buffalo. That marked their fifth straight win here at Buffalo. The Devils won those five games by a combined 17-7 margin. While its been a tough start to 2018, the Devils are still alive in the playoff race. That said, they know they need to turn it around immediately. Look for them to return from the break with some renewed energy, taking advantage of a visit to a venue which has been kind to them. Drake is 8-1 at home this year with their only loss coming against the top team in the MVC, Loyola Chicago. That loss came on Jan 24th which was their most recent home game and they have since lost a tight one @ Evansville so this team should be extremely motivated to get this win. They catch SIU in a great spot in our opinion as the Salukis are off an upset win @ Missouri State over the weekend. In that game Southern Illinois shot a ridiculous 64% from the field AND 61% from beyond the arc and were still only able to win by 2 points (79-77). That was obviously an aberration as they shot a full 20 percentage points better than they normally do on the road. Defensively this SIU team has struggled in conference play. They rank 10th in the MVC in eFG% defense and 9th in defensive efficiency (conference games). Drake averages 76 PPG on 46% shooting at home so they have offensive success in this game. These two met a month ago and Drake won @ SIU despite showing nothing outstanding on the stat sheet. The Bulldogs shot just 42% overall and 22% from beyond the arc yet still won 70-67. Now at home off two losses we’d expect a prime effort and a home win here. Drake is 7-1-1 ATS their last 9 home games and we expect them to pick up a win here.

Los Angeles vs. Dallas Under 5.5
The Kings and Stars battle Tuesday and the Under here has some value to work with.
Both of these teams are in the top tier of the NHL when it comes defense.
Los Angeles is allowing just 2.47 goals per game, while Dallas is at 2.64 on the season. Both of these teams have goaltenders that are able to cover the puck and rarely give up 2nd chances in front of net.
Both of these teams have trended to the Under situationally as well. The Under is 31-15-7 in Kings last 53 road games and the Under is 6-2 in Stars last 8 following a home loss of 3 or more goals.
Expect very limited scoring opportunities here in this one.
