3 Unit Play. #52 Take Denver Broncos over Kansas City Chiefs (Sunday 4:05 pm CBS) Will the Broncos be able to follow-up their impressive victory in New York with another strong showing in Denver against the Chiefs. Denver is in complete control of the AFC West with a three game lead and could wrapped it up with a victory this Sunday. The Broncos will not be looking past the Chiefs since KC got one of their two victories against them. The difference in this game is the Denver offense as they simply can outscore their way to a victory behind Cutler and company. KC cannot wait for this season to end and will likely make numerous changes in the offseason. Denver 35, Kansas City 21.
Lenny Del Genio's 25* NFL Non-Conference Game of the Year (6-2 GOY Mark)
Play on New England at 4:15 ET. The Seattle Seahawks sure are giving Mike Holmgren one heck of a send-off, no? This pathetic team is 2-10 and there is no longer a homefield edge in the Pacific Northwest as they are just 1-5 SU at Qwest Field, going 1-4-1 ATS. They are equally as bad on both sides of the ball. The defense can't rush the passer nor can they stop the pass. Here is a frightnening statistic. DE Patrick Kearney is tied for the team lead in sacks with five despite the fact he has not played in five games and is out for the season. The secondary ranks next to last in the league in passing yards allowed. They have allowed 19 TD Passes. The offense has failed to gain 300+ yards in eight of the previous nine games. They are just 0-8 ATS vs. teams that average at least 24 PPG. New England averages 23 for the year, but 24 on the road. They come off a terrible home loss to the Steelers. They have yet to lose back-to-back games. Prior to the Pittsburgh loss, they had rolled up 510 total yards of offense in two games. Seattle can't stop Matt Cassel and Randy Moss. New England is our 25* Non-Conference Game of the Year.
CONFIDENTIAL KICK OFF 10* (8-6).. NEW ORLEANS
CONFIDENTIAL KICK OFF 11* (0-0)... ARIZONA
11 *ARIZONA over St. Louis
*ARIZONA 38 - St. Louis 13
CKO scouts do not expect the Cardinals to be derailed a third straight game as they try to lock up their first
divisional title in 33 years! With Arizona superior to the Rams at nearly every position, look for the best the
Cardinals have after back-to-back losses vs. the NYG and at Philly on Thanksgiving. Insiders report the Arizona
players are determined to keep on winning after this week until they have secured a home playoff game at their
noisy new University of Phoenix Stadium.
10 *NEW ORLEANS over Atlanta
*NEW ORLEANS 34 - Atlanta 20
Do or die for New Orleans to keep alive its flickering playoff hopes. So must expect the prolific Drew Brees to outduel
Atlanta rookie Matt Ryan in the latter’s first appearance in the Superdome, where the Saints are 4-1 vs. the
spread TY. Reggie Bush got some of the kinks out in last week’s Saints’ loss in rainy Tampa Bay. Look for his
speed to be more of a factor this week.
TOTALS: OVER (48) in the Kansas City-Denver game—Chiefs’ emerging offense eager to face soft Denver defense; Broncs’ Cutler and his receivers red hot.
Sunday NFL Comp Play (20-9 YTD!)
Ravens -5.5 over Redskins
Baltimore is looking to make the playoffs behind rookie QB Joe Flacco. The Redskins would need a miracle to make the playoffs and the way their offense is playing I don't think its possible. This Baltimore team will be licking their chops against a very banged up Redskins defense. Five of the Redskins front seven on defense are hurt which will help this already efficient Ravens offense. Baltimore does not allow 100 yard per game rushers and Portis has never had success against them. I do not see Jason Campbell taking over this game on the road. Ray Lewis will fire this defense up and the Ravens behind their home fans should get a big win.
