If this game is anything like last years’ meeting, we could very well see 90 or more combined points and 1000 or more total yards. Last season’s GEORGIA vs AUBURN game had an OU line of 66 points. Both teams combined 1098 totals yards. When the smoke cleared, the final score was an Auburn win of 43 to 38 (Winner by +15 points). And that was courtesy of a Hail-Mary tipped-pass TD from Nick Marshall to Ricardo lewis of 73 yards with only 25 seconds left in the game. Georgia still remembers that crushing loss. And they have no problems running up the score in this one if the situation presents itself. #7 scoring offense versus #13 scoring offense. Georgia comes in as one of the BEST ‘Over’ teams in all of college football. They score a LOT… and they ALLWO a lot. They’ve home 8-1 O/U for the season. Their last three games have all gone OVER… and by margins of +36 pts, +8 pts, and +24 pts. In last week’s game versus Kentucky, the OU line was 58 points. The Bulldogs did most of the heavy lifting themselves. In fact, their 63 total points did go OVER this total all by themselves. But for good measure, the Wildcats also scored 31 points. Final score was 63 to 31. Quarterback Hutson Mason was incredibly efficient as he completed 81% of his passes, 25% of which went for touchdowns. He finished with an ‘unglaublich’ passer rating of 255.1Meanwhile, freshman sensation Nick Chubb continued to plow through opposing defenses with 170 rushing yards on a mere 13 carries against the Wildcats. Chibb is averaging 167 rushing YPG in the last month in place of suspended star Todd Gurley. And guess what? The suspension is over. So Gurley will INDEED play n Saturday as well, forming a fantastic 1-2 punch at the running back position. With the Auburn defense’s penchant for making the SEC’s middling offenses look borderline unstoppable, the Bulldogs shouldn’t have too many problems moving the ball on the Tigers… and putting up another 40+ point game. GEORGIA is 13-3 O/U in their last 16 Conference games… 10-2 O/U after scoring 40+ points in their last game… 7-1 O/U off a SU win of 20 or more points… 6-1 O/U after allowing > 200 rushing yards in their last game… 7-0 O/U after allowing < 170 passing yards in their last games… and 5-0 O/U in their last five November games.This issue for the Bulldogs will be to limit the Tigers offense from answering back. And that’s NOT gonna happen. Yes, Georgia impressively shut out division rival Missouri on the road last month. But that was an offense that’s ranked #115 in the entire country. Since then, they allowed a POOR Florida offense (ranked #77) to gash them for a whopping 418 fishing yards two weeks ago (at 7.0 yards per carry). The mighty offense of Auburn is a whole different story. And it’s another predominantly run-oriented attack which should pose similar problems. The TIGERS come in with a 506 yards-per-game offense that’s ranked #12 in the entire country. And it’s an extremely PISSED-OFF Auburn team to boot. Last Saturday, the Tigers handed a win back the way they’ve been getting them lately… via the fumble. They also possibly fumbled away their chances of making the College Football Playoff. We say almost because the winner of this game will still be barely alive. Who knows what the rest of the month of November will bring in this wild conference. What happened last week is not a good sign for this week. Auburn allowed a true freshman QB (Kyle Allen) making his first start to throw for 277 yards and 4 TD’s. And the usually toothless Texas A&M running game ran for a healthy 5.0 yards per carry. In the last four games, Auburn’s defense has collapsed… allowing 36,o PPG. Now they must fact the even more explosive Georgia offense, which is averaging 42 points per game (TOPS in the SEC Conference). But when we talk about explosive and quick-strike offenses, Auburn definitely has one in their own right. They might have pulled off last week’s win had it noir been for their late fumbles. The Tigers racked up 582 total yards of offense, with QB Nick Marshall getting three more TD’s. Meanwhile, running back Cameron Artis-Payne had a career night with 221 yards on just 30 carries and two TDS. In his lathe three games, Artis-Payne is rushing for 6.4 yards per carry. Just like their counterparts, Auburn comes into this on a 3-0 O/U streak in their last three games. Last week’s loss vs Texas A&M went OVER by +11 pts (OU line was 68 / final score: 41-38). Two weeks ago vs the great defense of Mississippi, the Tigers went OVER by +12.5 points (OU line was 53.5 / final score was 35-31). And three weeks ago against South Carolina, the Tigers went OVER by +14 points (OU line was 63 / final score was 42-35). Dating back to last season, Auburn is on a 13-5 O/U run. Also 11-3 O/U in their last 14 on grass… 8-2 o/U In last ten conference games… 6-0 O/U after accumulating 450 > total yards… and 5-0 O/U in their last 5 games in November. Final score: 45 to 41…. That’s about 16.5 points HIGHER than the current OU line
