Sometimes when you have these smaller conference games such as in the Metro Atlantic, the lines can be a bit softer. Such is the case here possibly with Canisius facing Rider at home. Canisius lost to this team last year in the last contest they played them and though Jim Barron's Golden Griffins aren't necessarily known for blowing teams out, they are a top 85 offensive efficiency team. Combine that with being a top 50 turnover percentage team and that makes for a possibility of a decent cover here as well as the motivation of revenge from losing the last time these two teams played each other. This team lost by 3 points to a Marist team outside the top 200 and should have never lost that game and they are likely more than a bit peeved coming into this contest at home. This is the same team that lost to Notre Dame in overtime by 7 points so they are certainly a capable team. A good benchmark for this contest is the fact this team beat Siena at home by 15 points who is ranked in the top 200 whereas Rider is ranked just outside the top 200. With a team led by Billy Baron and Chris Manhertz along with 4 total seniors that contribute actively, don't be surprised to see a motivated Canisius team come out today. What you see is a conference game with a team that lost a contest they should have not on the road, with revenge from losing to this team the last time they played them, the better team facing a Rider team who just lost to Siena by 15 who is outside the top 200. Now, this team has to play Canisius who is a top 125 team in my book on the road. Rider is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and the Golden Griffins of Canisius are 4-1 ATS coming off a loss as well as 4-1 ATS at home of late as well. We have this game at a differential at about 13 this evening.

The Over has been achieved the last 3 times these two teams with the last contest going up 215 total points. With Detroit putting up just 91 points at Toronto, look for this team to have a much better offensive output today as the Sixers play much less focused defense than the Raptors. In fact, Detroit is waiting to bust out a bit offensively after playing a series of defensive teams including scoring just 91 against Toronto, scoring 85 against New York (the Heat also struggled against the Knicks defense who is starting to pick it up)and scoring 84 against Memphis. So, you have a Detroit team that is itching for a strong offensive output of over a 100. Combine that with a Sixers team that had won 4 games on the road Outright on their west coast road trip before struggling their last two games scoring 93 against Cleveland and 95 against Minnesota on their way back to Philadelphia from out west. This is a team that had scored 121, 106, 101, 111, 114, 113 and 101 in their previous 7 contests. With the Sixers having revenge from a 15 point loss earlier this year, having the ability to be an active underdog at home with revenge and with the Pistons waiting to bust out on their own offensive output, look for this game to likely go over the posted total this evening. The Over is 12-2 for the Pistons coming off a straight up loss and the Over is 8-2 for the Sixers when they face a team with a winning percentage of less than 40% overall.Comment
