"The Fireball Kid" is headed back home.

That's because Takanori Gomi has been booked to get busy against jiu-jitsu ace George Sotiropoulos at UFC 144 on Feb. 26, 2012, from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

That should be an interesting fight. G-Sot will probably win, though.

Gomi may just put him to sleep.

They're giving the Japanese favorites fights they can win, style wise, while not making obvious squash matches. Sort of like the Brazil card where Brazil went 12-1 or something insane. Anyway, Ramapage should beat Bader pretty easily IMO.

Weird that a Japanese dude isn't in the main event.

And Zhang/Garcia should be interesting. Garcia is basically the dude they call up when they want to figure out if you can at least meet some minimum standard for staying in the UFC. They know that if you can't beat Garcia then it's time to go.

Okami is really the only main event level japanese guy in the org. I don't know why he is stuck on the prelims, they really do hate him.

Yeah. Hioki and Gomi on the prelims of a Japanese card is also weird.

I can't believe I am saying this...but I will bet pretty heavy on Garcia if the line is right.

As long as Zhang can keep Garcia from laying on him, I wouldn't be surprised to see him win either via sub or even outpointing him on the feet. From what I've seen, he seems to have decent kickboxing and a wicked guillotine. Then again, he did get beat by Danny Downes.

If Zhang doesn't win in the 1st round, it's over for him. He has horrible cardio.

Well that's something a fighter can work on. He didn't appear too gassed at the end of his last fight, even though he had a dude on top of him the whole time.

I would also have to favor Garcia, but wouldn't make any huge plays on him or anything.
