sidenote. That event is about 45 minutes away from me. I wonder how much the tickets are. Doesn't really matter because I don't have an interest in going to a local show.

Local shows can be fun as long as you can SEE. I've been to a few and a lot of times I just can't see shit. Pretty much makes it not worth it.

It’s not a major deal, but I do think it's the Rocky character's most unpleasant moment. Besides his practically cornering Adrian and pressuring her to decide right then whether to open up to him or not, the whole time they're in his apartment he acts like bit of a boor.

He does that joke where he hollers out the window - which is pretty much making fun of Adrian and her saying she wanted to call Paulie. Then he strips down to his vest and stands suggestively before her with his arms above his head, clutching the chin-up bar (giving Adrian a charming view of his no-doubt sweaty arm pits at the same time). After a few serious-sounding comments from him, Adrian starts backing off to the door. Before she makes it out the apartment, however, Rocky cuts her off and holds the door firmly shut with one of his beefy arms. He then crowds her - a woman who's a pathologically shy virgin, who has likely never even kissed a guy before, who has just had Rocky's intimidating testosterone rubbed in her face, and who, to boot, is totally out of her comfort zone in a strange, skanky apartment whose occupant she barely really knows as yet. I can't see any way Rocky can be excused for all that. He was wrong and crass.

Neither does the fact that Adrian gave in to him and ended up returning his affections make any difference. She didn't have much of an alternative under the circumstances. I think the creepiest element of all is that the whole thing seemed almost premeditated on Rocky's part. Why did he draw Adrian out to his apartment in the first place? Just to show her some turtles? I got the sense that once Adrian was there, she knew she was trapped. Outside, she'd told Rocky she wanted to go home, but he just changed the subject and turned on the charm. Clearly he wasn't in the mood to escort her, and there was no way Adrian would risk walking back through late-night Philly by herself.

Overall, I think that apartment scene is the only thing approaching a flaw in the movie. It wasn‘t even necessary. Rocky and Adrian never needed to be shown getting intimate. Their relationship would have been much more poignant and pure-souled if it remained a tentative, shy courtship, culminating in a realisation of mutual love when they hug in the ring at the end.

Straus is a solid play @-260. I don't like betting small shows, but I am going to make an exception here. I don't see how Den't can beat Straus. Also, Straus's star is on the rise, while Dent already peaked, Straus' head should be there even though it is a small show.

M-1, Vinny Magalhaes is fighting Mikhail Zayats. Vinny is -335 he is riding high off his ADCC win, but he sucks at mma, he can't take a punch at all and Zayats is pretty tough. I don't know much about his TDD though, but Zayats is probbaly worth a play, Vinny should only be - to people he can definitely take down or those who wiill definitely take him down.

Zayats looks to be mostly a submission guy. I think hes only got 1 or 2 tkos. Also Vinny only has one tko loss.
