I know of two ways, though there may be more:

    1. Find a "biased wheel." Over time, roulette wheels begin to tilt slightly, which means that the ball is more likely than not to end up in a certain area. The bias will genuinely be very slight, but exploitable. The way to find a biased wheel is to record the numbers that come up on the board over several thousand spins. Maybe 10,000. If a number, or set of numbers that are grouped together, comes up more often than chance allows, then you probably have a biased wheel. The history of gambling is rife with stories of teams that have found biased wheels and made a lot of money off of them. It's sort of like the "card counting" of roulette.

    2. Sector tracking. You'd have to look this one up on your own. I don't understand it well enough to explain it.

What worked for me, and I am completely serious about this, is watching where the dealers ball landed a few times in a row before playing. The dealer would always spin the ball with the same "force" and it would always land in the same vicinity covering only 12 or so #s, except for when it hit the rare bump and it went flying across the wheel. Sadly, I realized this the last night of the cruise, and went from $200 to $620 in one night.

I don't believe #1. If the gamblers know about it, the casino knows about it.

        I'm looking up #2.

I don't see how this is possible considering the wheel spins. Unless he's spinning the ball every time at the exact velocity as the wheel. I'm thinking you won because you didn't play long enough.

EDIT: The wheel spins the opposite way of the ball, right? So it shouldn't matter at all.

Casino's know about card counting, but card counters continue to operate and win money. I know of several.

Second, casino's know about biased wheels. That's why they re-balance their wheels periodically. But some casino's still let their wheels go too long before they re-balance them, especially smaller casinos.

If you don't believe me, that's fine, but just look it up.

Ok, I'll buy the idea that wheel can be biased for now. It just doesn't seem like something that's very viable, with all the time you'd have to invest to find one, and how quickly you'd think it would be fixed. Card counting isn't the same thing at all. Blackjack is a much closer game than roulette anyways. If you play with perfect basic strategy the house only has like a 0.5% advantage. Accurate card counting simply shifts the half percent over to the player so you can win over time. And casinos can throw you out if they catch you and feel like it.

I just read a page about sector charting, and it sounds like a mixture of using a Martingale type betting system(doubling) and trying to subconciously influence the dealer to spin the number you want, because they're experts at it and practice when the table is empty and can put the ball wherever they want. Or something. Sounds like hocus pocus to me. Also the fact that it said it gives the players an 88% win rate tripped my bullshit alarm.

                  First off, here:

Second, yeah, it's not the same as "card counting" but I stand by my analogy of it being "the card counting of roulette" in that it's the most well known method of beating the house.

As for your criticisms, yes, it's extremely time intensive. You may go from wheel to wheel to wheel without finding one that works. But when you do, if you play with a massive bankroll, you can win a lot of money quickly.

BTW, you can trust me on gambling-related shit like this. I've researched it extensively. Blackjack (card counting), roulette (biased wheels), craps (dice control), Spanish 21 (card counting, but different) have all been beaten by those who have figured out how to do it. I'm not saying that I personally can do it. But others have.

And dice control is possible, but it's insanely, retardedly hard. I love craps.

But still, for the average person just heading to Vegas, roulette is beyond unbeatable. Card counting can be done by anyone with enough practice and focus.

BTW, I do envy you being on the MS coast. Casinos galore. I guess you had to settle for Tunica before that.
