I actually don't understand the collector mentality in general, so I don't know, it seems like a really weird thing to do to me. I have a buddy who collects star wars crap, and I know a lawyer who collects comic books. Just seems fuckin weird to me.

I kind of get it. I've always felt like I could get into collecting if there were something that was both collectible and that I also felt passionate about. I kind of see myself as a movie collector, but my collection is admittedly pretty small, and I'm pretty discriminating about what I choose to let in there.

I also think that many collectors probably suffer from some form of OCD.

See, what I don't get is why amass a movie collection when you can watch whatever movie you want, whenever you want, without actually owning it.

With regard to things like comics and what not, I guess I can get that a litte bit in that they can be worth money, and you can also look at them (though most serious collectors would not dream of actually touching the precious and getting their finger oils on the paper).

I don't know. I am getting to the point where I think everythink everyone does is totally weird. I think I have gone so far that now I am weird too.
