Villanova has lost two straight heartbreakers that could have gone their way. Providence head coach Kim English has done a great job on the defensive side but has a way to go on offense, as the Friars are average shooters. Providence played a soft non-conference schedule, so their defensive numbers inflated. Ticket Gaines has been a fine addition for the Friars. Villanova coach Kyle Neptune has let two straight games get away from them, and it should be all business today. Eric Dixon is a beast on the boards and can get crucial offensive rebounds. TJ Bamba is an excellent transfer portal pickup and a reliable veteran guard. Look for the Wildcats’ recent demanding schedule to help them get over the hump today for the cover. Take Villanova.
