Presque Isle Downs - Race #5

#7 Starship Belmont	She outran her odds a couple times here last season, and she has some positional pace in a race without much committed speed. Riser was competitive at the local level here before.
#6 Lovely Ever After	Finisher returns off the bench while dropping in class, as she wasn't able to pick up too much with stakes company last fall. She has occasionally been able to sit a bit more tactical trips, and I think that would serve her well today with this race shape.
#3 Midnight Pirate	I worry that she's going to take just a bit more cash than she should while rising off the claim, but she has always done good work locally and wouldn't be a surprise with her best stuff at this level.
Race Summary	Starship Belmont might off a decent enough price while stepping into allowance company, but she was in range with similar here last season and has the right kind of running style to get first jump turning for home.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #6

#7 My Lily Mae	She's a bit short on excuses heading into this 13th career starts for my typical liking, but she's a pretty honest finisher in a race that might have enough pressing and spying types to encourage some early middle moves. Last run gets her home?
#1 Hard to Please	She showed enough pace in the Tampa sprint debut to think she'll be in the mix early on while stretching out, but she might wind up finding a cozy spot in the pocket with some upside off that first try.
#4 Queen of the Dance	Get a look at her on the tote and track ahead of this -- she's interesting enough on paper for a capable team to consider including if she's giving good signals ahead of this one.
Race Summary	Hoping a few tactical types end up knocking heads earlier than they want in this one, giving My Lily Mae a chance to settle back and rally late while moving back around two turns. Enough to like.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #7

#3 Anoint	Taking a little swing in here in hopes she will bring one of her better efforts, and I think her overall inconsistency is going to be built into the price. She fired fresh last fall, and it's at least a little encouraging she's still not in for a tag off the bench with declining form into the layoff.
#2 Starship Macys	She's probably fast enough to find the front in a race without a ton of pace, and she ran a couple pretty big races here last year. Class with the locals is a mild question, but she gets a good race shape.
#7 Merino Wool	She has a big claim on this while stepping into allowance company, as her local form has always been very competitive when racing with softer. Think she gets the right trip while adapting to the pace from the outside.
Race Summary	Anoint might be able to find a good trip tracking what pace there is in here, and I wouldn't be surprised to see her back with something closer to her best today after a little time away.

Race Summary	NAIL POLISH gets a needed break from allowance company and can take advantage of his tactical speed from a favorable post. He back-pedaled to finish last in two most recent starts, but still believe he can contend at this level. Bet to win and place.

#3 JO JO KATZ (5-1)	Tries to carry-over best form to the dirt off layoff, worth the price.
#9 INNUENDO (5-2)	Best numbers, steady check-getter, plenty of route experience.
#2 HE CAME TRUE (8-1)	A win and a third in trouble-free miles recently over strip.
Race Summary	JO JO KATZ had seven months to work on his troubling starting habit. He returns on an unproven main-track surface but has shown enough on the turf and in recent workouts to warrant a second look in this field. At 5-1 on the morning line, he’s worth keying in a 3-ALL exacta.

Penn National - Race #6

#1 CHARLYS WILD ANGEL (3-1)	Faced better at Parx, gets in light-weighted from the rail, should factor.
#6 FLECHE D’AMOUR (7-2)	Can maximize her speed if ready for first start in seven months.
#4 BUSTIN WIDE OPEN (6-1)	Third in sprint at this level two back, starts for new connections.
Race Summary	CHARLYS WILD ANGEL ‘continued well’ despite finishing out of the money two back at Parx, then lacked a rally while the last-to-first winner swept by last out. She faces a much weaker field today and could capitalize with an 11-pound weight break. Bet to win and place.

— Florida Panthers are 11-4 in this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs; Wednesday’s game will be the first time they’ve been favored in a playoff game this season.
