LITERATE - In this race here, this thoroughbred has clearly shown signs that she likes the turf. Her speed figs are the highest in the field for this dist-surf. Last out on the grass, this horse was strong. Anything close in today's race, and this one should win. I like the hard fact that this filly's last speed rating, 78, is tops in this field. CALIFORNIA WAY - Based on the past performances I have, she's a solid closer. May be worth a few bucks. EXCLUSIVE JONI - Don't often see a positive ROI like +999. This rider/conditioner twosome has done well together over the last twelve months. I look for a solid chance of improvement right here with the addition of Lasix for the second time.

KENHEDOIT - Trainer, Dieter, has been deliberate with this gelding off the layoff. Look for a solid effort today. The Brain taught me this angle. Watch for horses that show good early zip, drop back, then run evenly with a stretch drive. Took a significant drop in class rating last time out at Fonner Park. Returning to a similar class level in today's race. Should do well. PHLASH DRIVE - This gelding is in exceptional form right now. Ran third last time around the track and comes back rapidly. I like this horse. Should be familiar with this class level since he ran against the same type last time out at Fonner Park. Gelding is a few starts into a come back here. Should give a big race today. This gelding is utmost in earnings per race. Give the once over to this thoroughbred in the saddling ring. JUDGE'S BRIBE - I like that recent outing on March 31st at Fonner Park where he finished first.

5^th race [Md 40000, 6F TURF] – (8) Liana B made her last two starts on the Tapeta at Gulfstream Park and set a fast pace both times. John Kimmel is a good turf trainer especially in sprints. (2) Yukon and (2B) Sharp Pippa are a Todd Pletcher entry of first-time starters. Pletcher has good numbers with his horses that debut in maiden claimers. (3) Rum Runner Ready has three starts at Turfway Park on the Tapeta and a good start last year on the turf where she set the pace. (9) Tap It Up made two turf starts last year at Aqueduct in maiden special weights and the blinkers go.
6^th race [OC 80k/N3X, 1 mi] – (2) Market Alert (C) was claimed two races back out of a win for $62,500 and stepped up an allowance notch where he pressed the pace and finished third after getting bet from 9-1 to 7-1. (3) Stage Raider returns from a long layoff after winning a second-level allowance at Saratoga for Chad Brown. (6) Curlin’s Wisdom had two strong allowance finishes and then stepped up to an open company stakes race on a muddy track which can get a line through it. (5) Unbridled Bomber got a freshening after facing a tough field in the Queens County. Before that he won two allowances in a row at the Big A.
8^th race [Alw 82000 N1X, 6F TURF] – (5) Lady Milagro (B) set the pace in her recent start and finished second behind a heavy favorite and beat the rest of the field soundly. (6) Gal in a Rush will make his 2023 debut for the Clement barn after being stakes placed three times last year in turf sprints including the Matron (G3). (3) Hey There ran well on the grass last year with a third at Saratoga. She broke her maiden at Turfway in Janaury for Brad Cox. (4) Anna Karenine made her American debut in a Grade 3 at Gulfstream for Chad Brown after a racing in France with a couple of starts at Deauville including a Group 2.
9^th race [NY, Md 25000, 6F] – (1) Bustinroxy set the pace and finished second in just her third career start. Often these bottom level maiden claimers are loaded with horses that had too many starts. (10) My Malibu Honey moved to the barn of Bruce Levine after a turf start in a maiden special weight at Gulfstream. (9) Georgie’s Ladies was fourth behind the top choice in her improved second start after a long layoff. (2) Tumbles will make her debut for a low-profile trainer that has a longshot debut winner in the past.
Best bets: Liana B (5^th); Bustinroxy (9^th). Best value: Market Alert (6^th); Lady Milagro (8^th).

2nd race – (5) Kiss You Later makes her U.S. debut for Clement and it should be a winning one. (7) Sinfiltre won nicely on Tapeta but can handle turf as well. (4) I’m So Sorry seems capable of a better effort here. (3) Elle Est Forte should be a threat in the late stages. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-7. Exactas: 5-7 over 3-4 and 3-4 over 5-7.
4th race – (4) Henrietta Topham hasn’t run since finishing second in a fall stakes at Keeneland and looks best here. (5) Bubble Rock has plenty of speed and should be tough to catch. (2) Gam’s Mission had a rough trip in a Tampa Bay stakes and can rebound here. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5. Doubles: 2-4-5 with 1-2-6-8.
5th race – (8) Under Oath (B) flopped in his turf debut and should bounce back to top form on dirt. (6) Fitzpatrick is worth a look after tiring late on a sloppy track. (2) Top of the Charts seems set for a good showing in his 2023 debut. (1) Remuda will be a handful if he duplicates his last try. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-8.
7th race – (8) No Nay Hudson has the look of another turf sprinter from Ward’s barn. (5) Gaslight Dancer hasn’t run since racing in the Breeders’ Cup and seems poised for a strong comeback effort. (2) Chiringo switches to Irad and may wake up. (7) Bushido is undefeated and should not be ignored. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-7-8. Doubles: 2-5-7-8 with 3-4-6-7.
8th race – (7) Key of Life looked good in a gate-to-wire win and can make it two in a row here. (4) Interpolate exits a New York stakes win and should be the one to fear.
