DREAMING OF SMARTY is my choice. Will probably compete strongly in the early speed battle which bodes well with this group of horses. DESANTIS - He has been racing solidly lately while recording very strong Speed Figures. Linder has a strong 15 percent win rate with entries running at this distance and surface. FINALLY CAPTURED - Could wake up with Lasix change (on Lasix) today. With a nice class figure average of 75, has one of the best class advantages in this group of animals.

R CARDINAL PRINCE - As the only speedball in the race, I expect this gelding to be long gone. Looking at today's class figure, this pony is meeting an easier bunch than last time out at Mahoning Valley Race Cour. Finished off the board last out at Mahoning Valley Race Cour, but was within five lengths of the winner. Opening at 10/1 makes me think he's got a chance. TONKAWA SPRINGS - When Tapara and Vecchio join forces on equines the ROI has been fabulous at +44. Coming off a fourth place finish at Mahoning Valley Race Cour, some may pass this horse. I'm not. He just missed hitting the show spot, and has respectable M/L odds today. FLOCKED - I like this colt. Has the top (EPS) earnings per start in this contest. This colt's last speed rating earned on Feb 1st is utmost in last race speed figs. Recent speed figures show strong pattern of improvement. DAWN WEST - Ayala comes to ride after getting to know the gelding in the last event. Has the look of a possible overlay in this field at M/L odds of 10/1. Finished seventh in last race at Mahoning Valley Race Cour but was close at the end. Strong win percent this jock and conditioner duo have been putting together. Made up a ton of ground running 6 furlongs in the last race. Should do well on the stretch-out today.

Quite frequently, I play a maiden that finished in the place spot easily ahead of the 3rd horse in his last effort. I think that a sprinter coming off a layoff will usually run his best in the 3rd or 4th start back.

This entrant just hasn't looked fit recently. FINALLY CAPTURED - Hard to take this entrant at these odds after the result (seventh) in the last race. CAPITAL CONQUEST - The speed figs are going downward. I'm not making bets on this pony off of that trend.
