Pouille was a top 20 ranked player just a couple season ago and he was expected to be the future of French Tennis. He won five Tour events in his career and reached the quarterfinals of the US Open and Wimbledon and even the semifinals of the Australian Open, but his career was put on hiatus with an elbow injury at the end of 2019 and he missed all of 2020. He has since returned this year and he has been forgotten about, currently ranked outside the Top 100.
He comes in winning three matches in last week’s Winston Salem tournament, two qualifying rounds and his first round matchup of Feliciano Lopez. It was his first hard court tournament since March and hard courts is where he has had his career success so good to see him get some momentum going.
Albert Ramos is mostly a clay court player and has never had any success on hard court. He played in each of the last three hard court tournaments, at Toronto, Cincinnati and the same Winston Salem tournament last week. He lost in the first round of both Toronto and Winston Salem, but did get one first round win in Cincinnati, but overall was just 1-3.
Even before that, in a mix of clay and grass tournaments, he was in bad form with just a 2-9 record so I can’t imagine he has a lot of confidence coming in.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #2

#4 Imperial King	He has run okay locally in the past, and he's bringing some really sharp form to this. His positional pace should leave him in a great spot out of the gate to track the speed.
#2 Stevis Man	He has some dangerous speed, and he's coming off a string of solid races over the Mountaineer turf. Tough to argue with the 18-for-35 local record. Big chance at a short price.
#5 Samurai Legacy	He might not be quite up to prompting the pace and sticking around here, but he does draw best of the forward players and should be in the battle early.
Race Summary	Imperial King has to handle Stevis Man, a runner who thrives locally and brings sharp form to this, but 'King has a tiny touch of back class to him.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #7

#3 Indy Lyon	Route pace cuts back while stepping back up to this level off a nice, wire win last time out going long. A couple of committed frontrunning types might set things up for him at a square price.
#6 Race Driver	Finisher goes off the claim for the new team after a useful first local effort, and he has been competitive with this kind of company in the past. Dangerous.
#1 Good On Ya	He might be just a bit outrun in the early going, but that could lead to a great trip while settled in the pocket and saving ground. He's not impossible.
Race Summary	Indy Lyon has some intrigue while coming back up in class after a nice score last time out, and his running style might lend itself to a good trip tracking the pace.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #8

#9 Bettys Bomber	There are a couple of decent pace types signed on in here and not much finishing punch, but this 10-start maiden has run a couple of decent races at the level and occasionally brings a good finishing effort.
#4 Surprise Kick	Good effort last out at 29/1, and he'll now race with Lasix for the first time. The price gets much shorter here, and he figures to have some company in the early stages, but any move forward makes him tough if he can manage the race flow.
#11 Hey Sach	He's another with some pace, but he draws best of the speedy types to prompt the issue from the wide draw. Underlay?
Race Summary	Bettys Bomber figures to get a decent setup with a handful of pace and chase-and-fade types signed on, and he'll go third off the layoff while needing only modest improvement to land this.

Race Summary	Mikibytheseaside chased a 7-1 Yonkers shipper, couldn't keep pace in the stretch, but finished a clear second. He's ultra-consistent and has enough speed to salvage good forward position from an outer post. Play 6-1 and 6-4 exactas.

#1 EL'S DISCO JOHNNY	Snug hold until brief backside bid in split race that timed 1-3/5 faster.
#5 COLD DECKED	Been stuck in 'second' gear all season for 20-percent barn.
#2 STELLAR FELLER	Two wins and a near miss from outside posts recently at Hoosier Park.
Race Summary	El's Disco Johnny was flushed out on the backstretch, gained some into the final turn but paced evenly from there behind the 1-to-9 winner. He ran away from the favorite two starts ago in an easier condition. Play a 1-2-5 exacta box.

With 'blinkers-on' this gelding should be very competitive. INTENTIONAL WALK - This speedball is running a shorter distance today. Should enhance his chances. When Pino and Kintz unite on animals the return on investment has been wonderful at +39. Ran last race out against a better field at Churchill Downs. The move down the class ladder should suit him well.

ENJOY THE MUSIC - Didn't meet expectations as the favorite back to back. Difficult to wager on any horse in a sprint race at 8/5 when he hasn't shown any competitive efforts in sprints in the last 60 days. WOODCHUCK - He's likely going to get roasted up front. PITON - I cannot play this confirmed non-winner. Gets the job finished infrequently. This horse doesn't win here at Presque Isle Downs. He needs some different venue to show his best.
