    Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

    Parx Racing - Race #4
#4 Digging For Gold He showed a little bit better pace when going long, and he's now dropping to the lowest level of his career. He's not meeting much in this one, and he may be able to get a forward trip while trying this 7f distance for the first time.
#6 Oracabessa He doesn't frequently bring big efforts, but his two-back run at this 7f trip was the best of his career, and maybe he'll hang around for a piece again at a price.
#3 Bavaria Forward player has never been in this easy, but he'll need to overcome a December layoff to land this. He's definitely one of the logical ones, but I think he's going to be an underlay.
Race Summary Digging for Gold might like this 7f run after at least one encouraging route effort in his last pair. He'll get some class relief in a modest bunch and may be able to get home first with these.
    Parx Racing - Race #10
#2 Big Ray His recent races have been mostly even efforts, but there is a decent bit of battling pace in here, and he may be able to land a perfect finishing trip today at a square price.
#1 Start Meee Tactical type didn't have that final gear off the bench, but it's plenty reasonable to expect better in this second start off the layoff. Rail draw could be tricky.
#5 Motataabeq He just handled a similar group from off the pace, and he has a big claim on this if the splits heat up. Wonder if the top choice will get too big a jump?
Race Summary Big Ray might inherit a really nice trip based on the shape of this race on paper. He won't get caught up in any quick splits, but he is fast enough to stay in touch early on, giving him a head start on Motataabeq.
    Parx Racing - Race #11
#7 Victoria Belle Nothing to write home about on form after two starts, but they both came with MSW company on the main track. There is enough turf influence in her pedigree to think she might handle the footing while getting Lasix on the drop. Interesting at anything like the 15/1 ML price.
#3 Whistling Fool She showed chasing pace and faded in the debut going long, and the breeding is interesting enough on the move to the grass. Wouldn't be surprised to see much better here.
#11 Tilsa She'll need scratch help to get in, but she's a logical threat if she draws into the race. She's out of excuses here in start number 12, but one of her better efforts keeps her in the picture.
Race Summary Have to consider #3 Pepper Pot as well, but this layoff run is her 13th lifetime start. She can win, but she offers principled reasons to play against, and Victoria Belle has enough price appeal to give her a shot.

      Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

      Harrah's Philadelphia - Race #3
#2 EASYRUNNER HANOVER Failed at odds-on in seasonal debut, all or nothing today.
#4 CAPTAINANDTELLY Settled for minor awards behind three odds-on winners recently.
#5 VIVA LA DEO Improved second try at this level two starts back.
Race Summary Easyrunner Hanover failed to capitalize on an easy trip after a 7-month layoff. She tracked the pace controller in the pocket as the field raced single-file for nearly 3/4s of a mile. She came up empty in the stretch, but could move forward in her second start back with first-time Lasix. Play a 2-4-ALL trifecta.
      The Meadows - Race #3
#1 T J MACHS ME Slowed by race shape last week, goes well from the rail.
#5 DRACULA Chased the 4-to-5 fave most of the way before tiring.
#7 MANON'S BABY DOLL Earned her top speed figure with first in-the-money finish.
Race Summary T J Machs Me waited on cover until the final turn while the field raced single-file, bid 3-wide and flattened out in the stretch as the favorite pulled away. Play a 1 with 5,7 with ALL trifecta.
      Northfield Park - Race #3
#9 MOCO BANDIT Tries to upstage series of recent runner-up finishes.
#1 LETS TERROR Looms forward factor a long way on post position shift.
#4 ROY HILL Finished ahead of 'Bandit' after 8 months on shelf.
Race Summary Moco Bandit couldn't reach the pace-controlling winners, two of whom were favored, when he finished second in three consecutive starts recently. He failed at 2-to-5 odds last week but should be able to rally past this field despite a second-tier starting spot. Play 9-1 and 9-4 exactas.

        Jerry Shottenkirk's Daily Picks

Will Rogers Downs - Race #3
        Picks Notes
#1 Casino Queen Battled from the start and wore down her opponents at the end of a similar race; makes her second off the six-month layoff.
#5 Pretty Britches Was second in the Miranda Diane Stakes and has been a factor in every race she's had since September; capable on the front end.
#3 Sweet Mary M Ran a decent third in the Miranda Diane Stakes here last time and cruised home in an allowance two back; connections can do little wrong lately.
Race Summary Casino Queen came off a vacation with a strong effort and despite stepping up in class should be a big player if she can show any improvement off that one.

Will Rogers Downs - Race #6
        Picks Notes
#2 Dipping In Prefers two turns and was second and fourth in a pair of sprinters; can win it with a strong late move.
#4 Lady Orchid Has won both starts this year, including the Miranda Diane at six furlongs; stretches out and finds the distance no problem as she won this race last year.
#3 Dicey Hasn't been close in two this year and could benefit with the additional distance.
Race Summary Dipping In closed in sprints and really looks like she's ready to get back to two turns; has the late energy to be effective.

Will Rogers Downs - Race #9
        Picks Notes
#2 Dak Da Man Has had good luck going long vs Oklahoma-breds and has the rally to be effective.
#7 Quality Rocket Had a terrific performance going 5.5 furlongs last time and in the past has been effective going two turns; will be the one to catch if he runs back to his last one.
#8 Kwik Comes out of very good races and despite the step up in class can put up a battle; late threat here.
Race Summary Dak Da Man will get a good pace to chase and can fire against state-breds.

                      Julius Randle O25.5 pts:
The NBAs most improved player will be out to prove why he won this award yesterday. He looks to avenge one of his worst performances this season with only 15 pts on 6-23 shooting. Based on past performances against Atlanta scoring 44, 40 & 28 there is no reason to think he won't bounce back. His quote after the Game 1 loss: "I'm not making excuses, I will better. Let's just leave it at that."
Expect him to feed off the MSG crowd, adjust and come out with huge game in a close to must win.

Quick Synopsis: Vegas missed on closing out there series on Monday after a shaking first period but were much the better team over the last 40 minutes. They'll get another chance to end it on Wednesday at Xcel Energy Center where they took games 3 & 4 with dominate performances winning 5-2 and 4-0. We'll look for a rebound effort from Fleury and the Knights on Wednesday at a short price.
