    #2
    Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

    Parx Racing - Race #3
#5 Lean on E Forward player should appreciate getting back around two turns for this one, and the price should be a bit better this time around, too.
#2 Ebo Special Respect the form, but I'm not totally sold she's bringing her best stuff around two turns. Her style should give her the run of the race, but maybe at an underlaid price.
#2 Lady Fox She was flat last time out but she's capable of something better than that here. Guessing she'll bounce back enough to land a piece of this.
Race Summary Lean on E has some speed and an ability to rate, so she should be able to find a comfortable spot right near the top in the early going.
    Parx Racing - Race #7
#7 Tipsy Chatter She gets Lasix for the first time while stretching around two turns, and her stretchout sprint speed should be on display with a forward trip looming from the outside.
#4 Ninetypercentbrynn Her two local route tries were the best of her career, so she's got proven two-turn form that some of these lack. She's the one to beat, but maybe at too short a price.
#6 Sail Above She took a bit of cash in the debut when asked to go two turns out of the box, and I'd expect to see something better from her this time around with that first route try under her belt.
Race Summary Tipsy Chatter is quick enough to find a good spot from the outside. There is some other pace signed on in here, but she might be able to prompt that speed from the wide draw at a fair price.
    Parx Racing - Race #10
#4 Legit Meets a decent bit of speed in here, and he might stack up well with the locals after a dull first start off the claim. Chance from off the pace.
#6 Confessor He should trip out from just behind a couple of quicker pace types, and he figures to be right there to land a first-over trip turning for home.
#1 Shane's Jewel You might get his teammate, too, and this guy brings pretty sharp recent form, including an easy win last time out. Still, he does not routinely back up good efforts, so it might be worth standing against today.
Race Summary Legit needs to bounce back here, but he should get a decent race flow to work with from off a decent pace -- there are a handful of :46-47 half mile types in here who can keep each other honest.

      #3
      Jerry Shottenkirk's Daily Picks

Will Rogers Downs - Race #1
#5 Munnycantbuymelove Gets an ideal pace set up by speedsters and has been consistent in close ground; can score in his second off the claim for Williams.
#2 A P's Bluegrass Was an easy winner last time and was claimed by Young, who is hitting at 30 percent; always dangerous on the front end.
#3 Cool Catomine Ran off from foes late last time and has been a winner the last two times he was at a mile.
Race Summary Munnycantbuymelove ran on for third last time and was claimed from his last one at Houston, when he was up in time. Has the late kick to prevail.
Will Rogers Downs - Race #9
#1 Mighty Bugsy Gets a good post for his running style and can fight off his rivals here.
#3 Past Visions Was on the board in his last six races and his last win came under Curtis Kimes, with whom he is reunited today.
#4 Muni Muni Slew Was a clear winner two races back and followed with a second; has a decent closing move and fits with these.
Race Summary Mighty Bugsy has been in the mix in most of his races and can dig in against these.
Will Rogers Downs - Race #10
#6 Green Eyed Belle Was second in both starts and is capable of benefiting from chasing a quick pace; due for her first win since December.
#5 Okie Front Was an easy winner in her first two and that success came to a halt last time when she didn't get the lead and faded; can be difficult to catch in this one.
#4 Do You Belive Was third in her last two and came on well toward end of her latest; could be tough to hold off.
Race Summary Green Eyed Belle is a 3-year-old taking on older but has a had a couple of races in her brief career that would win this; well placed here.

Al Cimaglia: Yonkers Raceway Late Pick 4 Analysis

        May 10, 2021 | By Al Cimaglia
Tonight's headliner at Yonkers Raceway goes in Race 7, an Open Handicap with a $37,000 purse. That race also begins the $1.00 Late Pick 4 sequence and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

        Race 7

1-Micky Gee N (3-1)-Comes off a win and now steps-up and is assigned the rail. Got a sharp steer but what shouldn't be overlooked was the 55.2 back half when leading the charge to the wire. Best to respect, can stay good for a while.
3-Rollwithpapajoe (9/2)-Tossing last from the 8-hole and from this post should be no worse than in the pocket when the dust settles. Winner of 11 in 26 starts at Yonkers looks like a major player.
8-Raukapuka Ruler N (7/2)-Defeated 3 from this group in last by wiring the field from post 5. This won't be as easy but still has the gate speed to get the top or a close-up seat. The post helps the price and Stratton could provide a good steer.

        Race 8

2-Heisman Player (2-1)-Drops to a spot to shine and Zeron should have this 5-year-old forwardly placed. Could make the most of the post draw with the return of its regular pilot.
5-Tin Roof Raider A (5/2)-Steps-up after rolling a 55.2 back half and has hit the board in 8 of 14 starts at Yonkers with 4 wins. Bartlett has choices from this post and the Harris trainee should be within striking range at the 3/4's pole.

        Race 9

2-Caviart Luca (9/2)-Veteran class horse was in tough in the last 2 starts at Phl and now drops to a more comfortable spot. Burke trainee has won over 26% of Yonkers starts and now returns to the level of last picture on 4-20.
3-Can B Perfect (5/2)-Last start was in the slop and the 4-year-old has an off-track record of 1 win in 8 starts. Did race okay but couldn't close fast enough after a .57 opening half. Siegelman should have this 4-year-old in the hunt turning for home.

        Race 10

2-Walkinshaw N (3-1)-The last 2 starts at this class have been in the slop and from the 8-hole. Fits with this group, should have no excuses as Zeron could be aggressive from the post and might be bet down. Maybe gets a pocket ride behind #5.
5-Fine Diamond (5/2)-Does face tougher but has cashed checks here versus better. Slight morning line favorite could fire out to get the top and may not look back.

        $1.00 Late Pick 4

        1,3,8/2,5/2,3/2,5
        Total Bet=$24

              #7
Handicapped by The Turf Club Analysts

              Louisiana Downs - Race #1 - Post: 2:45pm - Claiming - 5.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $8,000 Class Rating: 76

              Rating:

              #1 FUELINJECTEDPRAYER (ML=3/1)
              #2 ONEHOLYLION (ML=5/2)

FUELINJECTEDPRAYER - A repeat of that most recent effort on March 25th where he garnered a speed rating of 77 looks high enough to prove victorious in this event. This gelding likes to stalk the pace and the way things shape up here, he should get an ideal trip. This gelding is most certainly on the improve with speed ratings of 40, 52, 77 last three out. ONEHOLYLION - This gelding should give a strong showing of himself in today's race.

              Vulnerable Contenders: #4 LUNAR LIGHT (ML=2/1), #5 SUCCESSFUL RYKER (ML=5/1), #6 UNTETHERED SOUL (ML=5/1),

LUNAR LIGHT - Not easy to wager on this vulnerable equine this time around. Make him show you something in a sprint race before you play him in a race of 5 1/2 furlongs. This morning-line favorite hasn't visited the track in awhile. No morning activity since last race. SUCCESSFUL RYKER - 5/1 odds isn't enough for this entrant when examining the most recent showings. UNTETHERED SOUL - This mount ran a disappointing speed rating last time around the track. She shouldn't improve and will probably suffer defeat in today's race running that figure.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Bet on #1 FUELINJECTEDPRAYER to win if we can get at least 3/2 odds
              EXACTA WAGERS: Box [1,2]

                # 8 LAS ANA 20/1
AMERICAN SOLUTION looks to be a decent contender. Difficult to pass on this gelding with Leon in the irons. Has the appearance of a money-making play. TAPNGO - Should best this field here, showing competitive figs of late. Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Shanyfelt have shown sharp results lately. LAS ANA - With a solid 59 speed figure last time out, will surely be a factor in this contest. He has been racing admirably lately while recording strong Equibase Speed Figures.

                  # 9 JESS BLUE LIPS 9/5
I like KISS MY SOXX here. Should be given consideration for this event if only for the respectable speed rating recorded in the last race. Always hard to beat Sanchez and Sanchez working together, winning 16 percent of their races. Expect this equine to be close up at the finish versus these mounts. A REBELS SECRET - Don't let this gelding slip past you. Could prove victorious at a juicy mutuel. Will make a strong showing versus this lot. JESS BLUE LIPS - Win percentage one of the strongest in this group of horses in this race. This entrant has been consistently racing well recently.

                    Prairie Meadows - Race #3 - Post: 4:54pm - Claiming - 5.5 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $15,725 Class Rating: 82

                    Rating:

                    #4 MR. SOLO (ML=7/2)
                    #2 THAT'S WHAT I SAY (ML=6/1)

MR. SOLO - A pony coming back this rapidly after a strong race is a good signal. This gelding is rounding his way back into shape. Should race well today. Last raced at Fonner Park carrying 5 pounds more. The lower weight right here should serve him well. THAT'S WHAT I SAY - Look at this pattern of improvement. 62/66/69 are the last three speed figs.

                    Vulnerable Contenders: #5 DAZZL'N MISCHIEF (ML=8/5), #6 TORINGTON (ML=9/2), #3 WOKE UP WILD (ML=5/1),

DAZZL'N MISCHIEF - I think this morning-line favorite needs this race under his belt to start getting back into shape. TORINGTON - Today's event is 5 1/2 furlongs. Hasn't hit the board in a short distance affair in the last 60 days. Not the best of signs. WOKE UP WILD - The Brain always warns me to keep away from horses in short distance affairs that haven't hit the board in short distance contests recently.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Have to go with #4 MR. SOLO on the win end if we get at least 8/5 odds

First of two games in Atlanta between the visiting Wizards and the host Hawks and I am playing the Over in this Monday key Eastern Conference showdown, even with the Wizards Bradley Beal sitting this one out with his hamstring injury.

The first time the teams played was at the end of January in D.C. and that meeting landed well Under the total of 235 that night. I don't think we are headed for a repeat, as the Wizards come into this game with a definite Over trend on their side. Washington has played Overs in each of their last 5 games and in 8 of their last 10 overall.

Atlanta comes into this home game having landed Over the total in 3 straight and in 4 of their last 5 overall.

This will be the first meeting between the teams in Atlanta this season and 3 of the last 4 series meeting dating back to the 2018 season on Atlanta's court have tipped Over the total.

I fully expect this showdown to see enough offense to take the final result into the Over column.

Make it 6 straight Overs for the Wizards and 4 straight Overs for the Hawks.

You can throw out the fact that New Orleans has defeated Memphis both straight up and against the spread in 5 straight and in 7 of the last 8 meetings overall.

Without Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram and with Steven Adams also ailing, the chances the wounded Pelicans stay close tonight in Bluff City are slim and none and slim just walked out the door.

New Orleans showed us all a little something with their gut-check win last night at Charlotte to keep their playoff hopes flickering, but tonight the Grizzlies push the Pels one step closer to being eliminated as they snap the 5 game series slide with a big time blowout.

Memphis is back home after winning and covered 2 of 3 on their recent road trip as they are currently in possession of the #9 seed for the playoff play-in series that gets started in less than 2 weeks.

The Grizzlies are 19-13 against the spread at home for the year and they catch the Pelicans both shorthanded for tonight's game and playing in a back-to-back spot, while Memphis had a day of rest.

                              Lay it with the Grizzlies.
