Doc’s Sports NFL Draft Props:

Note: These are the most accurate lines at release time on Monday at 11:30 a.m. eastern. They will likely change a bunch in the coming days. As of Monday these are the top plays we could find taking the consensus mock draft from across the country.


7 Unit Play. Take Najee Harris (-175) as the first running back taken in the 2021 NFL Draft. This will likely come down to two players and just feel Harris is on the top of most teams big board with regards to running backs. He can do it all and team will also lean on the fact that recent running backs from Alabama have had success in the NFL. This price is steep, but all the mock drafts have him going first, likely in the first round.


2 Unit Play. Take Mac Jones (-200) to be the Third Pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The odds for the pick owned by San Francisco have greatly shifted over the last couple of days. Just feel all the mock draft have finally settled on Mac Jones being the pick and he has the make-up of a player Kyle Shanaham would want to coach.


1 Unit Play. Take Offense (-135) for the 1st player drafted for Green Bay Packers. To win this bet the Packers must pick an offensive player with their first selection in the draft whenever round that occurs. Green Bay has made some puzzling picks in the draft with their top picks and now I feel they finally are going to give Aaron Rodgers some help with an offensive playmaker they desperately need.

ANALYSIS: The Flames have outshot eight of their past 10 foes while Edmonton has been outshot in eight of its past 10 games. The Oilers won on Wednesday despite getting outshot and winning fewer face-offs. The game was physical as the Jets dished out 38 hits while Edmonton hit Winnipeg 24 times. The Flames have a +56 shot differential while the Oilers are -65 this season. Great spot for the road team.

ANALYSIS: I’ll continue to fade the Rockies until they show me reason to do otherwise. I still consider their only road win a fluke and they are continuing their road trip with a series against the Diamondbacks. This is a great spot to take a plus-money spread as Arizona lost 12-3 to the Padres on Wednesday and I imagine they want to save face and notch a concrete win tonight. Statistically I am intrigued by Colorado’s ATS record. They’ve only covered a spread in a road loss once out of eight times, while the Diamondbacks have covered the run line in eight of their last 10 outings. At this price it feels almost too good to be true, this is a must-play spread for me at +140.
