My model has the total going Over in almost 70 percent of the simulations, so you're getting great value here. It's difficult to keep either of these teams off the scoreboard, as San Diego has been held to fewer than four runs only twice in its first 10 games while Los Angeles entered Sunday having scored more than three times in seven of its first nine contests. The Padres combined with Arizona's weak offense to eclipse this total twice in four meetings. They should have no problem doing so while paired with the Dodgers' potent bats.

Atlanta is riding a five-game winning streak and is facing a team that was mysteriously deserted by one of its top power hitters on Sunday. The Mets ultimately learned from his agent that Yoenis Cespedes opted out for the rest of the season. Cespedes hit two of the 10 homers recorded this year by New York, which has been outscored 22-11 while losing the first three games of this series. The Mets have lost five straight overall and five consecutive meetings with the Braves following a 1-0 win in their season opener. Expect another defeat, even with ace Jacob deGrom on the mound, as my model says Atlanta wins well over 50 percent of the simulations.

The Lakers have dispatched the Jazz rather easily twice this season. The last matchup saw Utah hit 14 3-pointers - and still lose by 25. When the Lakers go small against them, the Jazz haven't had any answer for the LeBron James-Anthony Davis pick-and-roll. Speaking of James, he just spent two games being guarded by Kawhi Leonard and OG Anunoby, two of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. This time around, he gets the 6-4 Royce O'Neale. Utah still hasn't solved its offensive woes without Bojan Bogdanovic. Without him, the team scores 8.5 fewer points per 100 possessions. This one is simple - it's a Los Angeles win.
