If the Padres are going to give the Brew Crew a game in this series, this one is it. Paddock on the hill for SD with a 0.49 ERA his last 3 starts and a 0.82 WHIP. Woodruff toes the rubber for Milwaukee with a respectable 3.45 ERA in his last 3, and Woodruff is consistent with an overall ERA this season of 3.75 ERA and a home ERA this year at 3.25 and he will be solid after coming back from injury. Look at the hitting stats and the Padres are hitting .211 as a team their last 5, and the Brew Crew their last 5 games at .214. This was a 5-1 ballgame last night and the Padres have issues scoring runs right now. Woodruff will be on limited pitch count and then Gio Gonzalez will step in and take over as a reliever.

The top European club tournament begins on Tuesday with Match Day 1 of the Champions League group stage and it's a Top Play on Red Bull Salzburg here. The Austrian Champions have picked up where they left off last season and have won all 7 of their domestic league games outscoring their opposition by a 34-6 margin including 21-5 at Red Bull Arena. Genk who won the Belgium Jupiler league last season and their mini championship playoff earning a CL spot haven't had the same success to kick off their domestic league season and it's likely traced back to them losing a couple key pieces from last seasons team including Spanish midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo (Now with TFC of the MLS) and have had some difficulty generating goals with only 10 in 7 contests. In a group that consists of Liverpool and Napoli today's game is seemingly a big 3 points for an eventual 3rd place spot and birth into the Europa League after the group stage ends.

The play is FC Red Bull Salzburg -1.0 -108 (UPDATE as of 10:30am. Game has moved to -1/-1.5 at a couple books but is still rated 5% Good luck guys)

Blake Snell makes his first start since July 21st. Only three Dodgers have ever faced Snell, for a combined 14 plate appearances. And those PAs did not occur this season. I love Unders when teams are facing a lefty for the first time, or for the first time in a long time.

There's a good chance Snell doesn't give us the full 5 innings (pitch count) given that this is his first game since coming off the IL, but that's okay. The Rays have arguably the best bullpen in the league. The Rays pen ranks #1 in xFIP, #4 in K/BB ratio, and #3 in WHIP. And the Rays bully is also in pretty good current form.

Ross Stripling has very good numbers, especially at Dodger Stadium. Stripling owns a 1.06 WHIP and 3.75 K/BB ratio at home this season. These Rays hitters only have 19 combined career plate appearances against Stripling, and did little with them (.211 BA, .526 OPS). Stripling also induces more ground balls than most starting pitchers, which increases the chances for an inning-killing double play.

The Rays have average numbers against righties, and the Dodgers have average numbers against southpaws. Going against above-average pitchers should lead to even less success at the plate tonight.

Take Washington ATS as my 4-Unit WNBA Smash for Tuesday night. This pick falls into 1 of my top WNBA systems and I believe Washington is the best team in the WNBA especially after watching how badly Las Vegas played against Chicago. This is also a revenge spot for Washington who lost to Las Vegas at home the last time these 2 teams met. We actually had Las Vegas in that win over Washington because that was a strong situational play for us, however, I believe the point guard play of Washington will be too much for Las Vegas here tonight. This is the same Mystics team that just handed Chicago a 14 point loss and Las Vegas simply does not have the firepower to keep up with this team as I expect Washington to push the pace at home. Las Vegas struggled with Chicago pushing the pace so how exactly are they going to slow down the best team in the WNBA. This is also the same Washington team that went into Las Vegas and beat them by 29 points earlier this season although Toliver was active for that game. Las Vegas beat Washington in their last meeting because Washington was without their star player Delle Donne who will be ready to go tonight. Las Vegas is 6-19-1 ATS in their last 26 games after a win and Washington is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games when playing a team that has a winning record. Play Washington ATS and I would not be shocked to see a blowout here tonight.
