Illinois-Chicago has lost 4 of their last 5 games away from home, and they are just 1-3-1 against the spread over that span.


Their opponents tonight have made good use of their home court to advance to this stage of the CBI, as the Chanticleers have bested both Loyola Maryland and Hampton on their home floor, covering as both the -5 1/2 point chalk, and as the -9 point home chalk.

But, this game entitles us to as it sets up that way as we think Utah Valley not only wins this game outright but similar to the BYU game when they faced a top 150 team on the road, or similar to the New Mexico State game where they faced a top 150 team on the road - or the Utah game where they faced a top 150 team on the road - they scored more than 80 points in each of those games. Consequently, all 3 of thoses games went over. Look for an active underdog that pushes the total here as this game likely goes over the posted total this evening as Utah Valley will show up in a big way today and consequently this game goes over.

We are admittedly very high on Utah Valley and have been for some time. We have tracked this team closely for a good bit and we were on them when they faced Rice as a +5.5 underdog and won outright 85-79. This team's weakness was their offense but you have seen no sign of that of late and in the post-season as they come off 85 points against Rice, 74 against Georgia Southern on the road and even 80+ points against a top 100 New Mexico State team as well. This team has a top 80 defense and is the same team that scored 114 points at BYU to win that game outright, lost to Utah by just 7 points on the road and opened the season at Gonzaga - so they have seen and played againste elite squads - nothing to necessarily get intimidated against in Wyoming. Wyoming is a very good team but having said that, given how well Utah Valley is playing and the efficacy at which they are playing, this is a great public fade to boot as well, we would not be a bit surprised to see Utah Valley win this game potentially outright this evening.
